Chappell Roan’s mother discusses ‘Pink Pony Club’ which is inspired by the mother-daughter bond

Chappell Roan, who rose to tremendous heights of fame this year, made an appearance at Christmas Special karaoke alongside Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga.

The 26-year-old, real name Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, performed the classic hit Wham’s Last Christmas at the show, as well as her own top tracks.

A Very Carpool Karaoke Christmas, now-streaming on Apple TV, was hosted by Zane Lowe and each popstar had a segment dedicated to them.

For the Good Luck, Babe! hitmaker’s segment, her parents, Dwight and Kara Amstutz, joined her in the car.

The Grammy-nominated popstar then sang Pink Pony Club, with her parents and they shared a touching moment as the host asked her mom how she feels about the song that she has inspired.

Kara responded, “I started to tear up just listening to her sing it just now. We love her so much and we’re so proud of what she does and who she is and what she stands for. I love singing it with her at her shows and I love it when you can just see the people just respond to that song so much.”

“Yeah,” Roan’s teary-eyed father joined in, “I hope that that’s something that she always knows, that we love her so much and we could never not be proud of her. I think about this a lot and try not to get emotional about it.

“I already am… What she has taught me as a father is respect for other people and all people, and that’s what I want people to understand. Everything that is about her is about loving everybody, and she has taught me that.”
