Timothée Chalamet honored for visionary role in A Complete Unknown.

Timothée Chalamet exuded charm as he accepted the prestigious Visionary Tribute award at the Gotham Film Awards on Monday evening, held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The 28-year-old actor was recognized for his role in A Complete Unknown, the highly anticipated Bob Dylan biopic where he stars as the iconic singer-songwriter.

He also serves as a producer on the film, which boasts a stellar cast, including Monica Barbaro as folk legend Joan Baez, Edward Norton, and Elle Fanning.

Timothée  made a dashing appearance in a sleek black blazer paired with matching trousers and a chic white-and-pink striped shirt.

Joining him at the event, co-star Monica Barbaro stunned in a strapless sheer white gown adorned with a delicate floral print and a sweetheart neckline, radiating classic Hollywood elegance.

The event was a star-studded affair, with notable appearances by Elle Fanning, Boyd Holbrook, and director James Mangold, further cementing the film’s buzz ahead of its release.

Edward Norton, who stars alongside Chalamet in the biopic, praised the 28-year-old actor’s commitment, calling it “relentless.”

“He was all in,” Norton, 55, told Rolling Stone.

“No visitors, no friends, no reps—nobody was allowed on set while we worked. Timothée was laser-focused, and I totally understood.

We were tackling something so sacred to so many people, and he knew we needed to fully immerse ourselves without distraction. He was right to be that protective.”

Co-star Monica Barbaro, who plays Joan Baez, also commended Chalamet’s focus but noted that he struck a balance.

“It wasn’t so intense that it became isolating,” she shared. “We could still interact between scenes, but he definitely stayed in his own world to keep the authenticity of the character.”

His method acting was part of the team’s broader effort to honor Dylan’s legacy, Norton explained: “We agreed completely—this was not something we could approach lightly. We had to live and breathe it to do it justice.”
