Lady Gaga is singing the praises of her fiancé, Michael Polansky.

During this week’s episode of Rolling Stone‘s The Breakdown, the 38-year-old pop icon revealed that Polansky, 46, transformed his office into a home music studio as a Valentine’s Day surprise, calling the gesture “kind of romantic.”

“Michael built a home studio,” Gaga shared. “For Valentine’s Day, he said, ‘I have a surprise for you,’ and he turned his office into a music studio. I mean, it’s kind of romantic.”

Gaga and Polansky, who began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in July 2024, have also collaborated on music, including her recent single, Disease.

Polansky’s input has been instrumental, with Gaga revealing that his suggestions helped her dive deeper into the song’s meaning. “I think this song and the lyrics took on a much deeper meaning because we were able to tap into things I didn’t want to admit I was writing about,” she said.

Beyond music, Gaga values the seamless blend of creativity and home life that Polansky brings. “It makes the producing process and the writing process really fluid with home life, too,” she said. “It’s like a beautiful way to live.”

Polansky, a tech entrepreneur and philanthropist, previously co-executive produced Gaga’s Joker: Folie à Deux companion album. With his unwavering encouragement, it seems Gaga’s inspiration has found a perfect partner.
